Two weeks after the Book Fair closes, the Belgrade Fair turns to sofas, kitchens and lighting. The 62nd International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration runs from 12 to 16 November 2026. It shares the grounds with the 62nd International Fair of Woodworking Machinery, Tools and Production Materials, which grew out of the furniture fair's machinery section into a show of its own.
The fair has been held since 1963, and the organiser calls it the most important furniture and interior decoration event in South-East Europe. It covers the whole chain, from primary wood processing and production materials to finished furniture for homes, offices and public spaces.
What is new this year
The Belgrade Fair describes a "new concept" for 2026 with two parts:
- More design. Exhibitors are being pushed to put design, not only production capacity, at the front of their stands.
- A Hosted Buyers programme. Selected buyers are invited to the fair to raise the number of serious trade visits.
Trade visitors can buy a Business Pass. It gives entry on every day of the show, a profile in the B2B meeting database (bookings through furniturefair.talkb2b.net) and access to a Business Lounge in the Hall 1 gallery with Wi-Fi, refreshments and meeting space. The organiser has not published the price; enquiries go to visitus@sajam.rs.
The fair's website also lists a programme of lectures, panels and workshops on interior trends, and the Golden Key (Zlatni ključ) award, decided by an international jury. Figures published there, from an earlier edition, show 106 exhibitors from 16 countries and 22,323 visitors. The 2026 exhibitor list and hall plan have not been released yet.
Why it matters for decorators, venues and the events trade
For interior decorators and fit-out firms, this is the one show in Serbia where most domestic furniture makers are in one place. It is a practical place to compare suppliers, check finishes and negotiate volume prices.
The timing is useful. Pavilion interiors for Expo 2027 Belgrade, hotel refurbishments and new event venues all need furniture, lighting and textiles over the winter. Furniture rental companies and set builders can use the fair to line up manufacturers able to deliver short runs at short notice, ahead of the spring rush.
For stand builders, a furniture fair is also a showcase of what clients expect from a stand: open layouts, finished floors, staged room sets and strong lighting. Exhibitors still looking for a stand contractor have about two weeks left, so last-minute modular and shell-scheme builds are the realistic option.
Group visits of more than 20 people need a name list stamped and signed by the company. Groups can pay at the cashier or by bank transfer, and tickets are also sold online at ticketing.sajam.rs.
