While the Belgrade Fair fills up with furniture, ski gear and food in mid-November, Sava Centar in New Belgrade hosts two professional conferences that bracket the month. One speaks to the construction and engineering world, the other to IT and digital business. Both matter for event suppliers: they are recurring, they bring regional audiences, and one of them runs an exhibitor zone.
ACES Future Trends 2026: construction and consulting engineering
The Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia (ACES) holds its regional conference ACES Future Trends 2026 on 5 and 6 November at Sava Centar. The official website lists future trends in construction, infrastructure and consulting engineering as the theme, but at the time of writing it still says the programme, speakers and tickets will be "announced soon". With the event a week away, anyone planning to attend should check the site directly.
Earlier editions give an idea of the format. The 2025 conference, also at Sava Centar, focused on budgeting and delivering projects, the use of technology and artificial intelligence in construction, alternative dispute resolution (ADR and DAAB boards) and project management principles. Biznis.rs reported that guests included Ioana Dragan, vice-president of the European federation EFCA, and Alfredo Ingletti, president of FIDIC. The 2024 edition drew more than 300 participants from Serbia, the region and Europe.
For contractors and suppliers, the audience is the useful part: engineers, project managers and consultants who sit on the client side of large public and private projects, at a time when Belgrade has a heavy pipeline of construction work.
Sinergija 26: Microsoft-ecosystem and AI conference
Next AI Sinergija 26 follows on 25 and 26 November, also at Sava Centar. The long-running regional conference has shifted its focus to AI technologies, digital transformation and cloud, with Microsoft technologies still at its core.
The organisers quote more than 1,800 participants, 300 organisations, 130 speakers and 25 countries. One ticket covers all sessions, the expo zone and the closing party. Early-bird prices (up to €130 off) ended on 10 September; standard prices are not published on the homepage. Companies can still apply to become partners, and discounted hotel rates near the venue are offered to attendees.
Why it matters for event suppliers
Two large conferences in one venue within three weeks means repeated work for the same set of trades: stage and AV production, branding and signage, partner stands in the expo zone, catering and hostess services. Sinergija's partner area is where stand builders and exhibition furniture rental firms have the clearest opening, while ACES is a networking opportunity with the engineering firms that specify materials and supervise building works. Neither organiser has published exhibitor rules on its homepage, so contact them directly.
