The last week of November and the first days of December bring two business conferences to Belgrade that are built for executives rather than the general public. One looks at Europe's competitiveness and supply chains, the other gathers chief executives of some of the best-known companies in Serbia. For venue operators, AV and interpretation providers, caterers and anyone selling to decision-makers, both belong in the calendar.
SDF Belgrade 2026: competitiveness, supply chains and innovation
The Sustainable Development Forum returns as SDF Belgrade 2026 on 26 and 27 November, under the title "Europe's Next Chapter: Competitiveness – Supply Chains – Innovation". It is organised in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) and Cambridge Judge Business School, as announced on 28 October.
The first day is reserved for side events and meetings between participants; the main conference programme runs on 27 November. Planned topics include productivity and innovation, resilient supply chains, energy security, financing industrial transformation and more efficient use of resources. Serbia and the Western Balkans get special attention, including a "Circular Competitiveness in Serbia" initiative on resource productivity and circular business models.
The forum targets business leaders, academics, international institutions, the financial sector and the diplomatic corps. At the time of writing, the venue and registration details for 2026 had not been published. The previous edition took place in Belgrade on 30 and 31 October 2025.
CEO Summit at Sava Centar on 1 December
The CEO Summit Beograd is a one-day conference at Sava Centar on Tuesday, 1 December 2026. Registration opens at 07:45 and the programme runs until around 16:00, with simultaneous interpretation.
The agenda covers the economic outlook from the CEO's chair, AI and business design, people and transformation, the next generation of leaders, expansion beyond Serbia's borders, an FMCG panel and a session on investment in Serbia. The speaker list includes the heads of Yettel Serbia, Delhaize Serbia, Nestlé, Bambi, Generali Osiguranje Serbia, Pionir and Beohemija, as well as Aleksandar Kostić of MK Group and Ivan Ostojić of McKinsey & Company. A session by the European Investment Bank on investment trends in the Western Balkans is announced, with the speaker still to be confirmed.
The organisers expect more than 500 business people and decision-makers, attending in person or online. The discounted early registration closes on 31 October 2026. Companies register through a form on the website, individuals through a ticketing link; fees are paid in dinars.
Why the events trade should pay attention
Neither event is a trade fair, but both create work and contacts for the meetings industry:
- A crowded week. SDF Belgrade overlaps with DSC Europe at the Belgrade Fair (25–27 November) and Sinergija at Sava Centar (25–26 November). Interpreters, AV crews, stand builders and hotel rooms will be in demand across the city.
- Retail and FMCG decision-makers. The CEO Summit's FMCG panel brings together retail chains and food producers, a relevant audience for in-store display, POS and shop-fit suppliers.
- Supply-chain talk ahead of Expo 2027. SDF's focus on supply chains and industrial financing is useful context for companies preparing bids for large projects next year.
