The 62nd International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration will not open at the Belgrade Fair in mid-November as planned. The fair's pages on sajam.rs, in both Serbian and English, now carry a single-word notice: "POSTPONED!" ("ODLOŽENO!"). In the fair's 2026 calendar, the event is still listed but without dates.
This is a change from what we reported on 27 October, when the fair was scheduled for 12–16 November. The organiser has not given a reason or new dates, so it is not yet clear whether the event moves to later in the season or to 2027.
What still goes ahead at the Belgrade Fair on 12–16 November
The rest of the mid-November programme remains in the calendar:
- 62nd International Fair of Machines, Tools and Materials for the Woodworking Industry, 12–16 November, Hall 2B. It used to be a segment of the furniture fair and now runs as a separate event. The Belgrade Fair's own figures for 2024 list 25 exhibitors and 1,684 m² of space.
- SKI EXPO – Winter Sports Equipment Fair, 12–15 November, for equipment makers, importers, ski centres, travel agencies and resorts, with gear sales, swaps and servicing.
- 20th Ethno Food and Drink Fair, 12–15 November, a regional show of traditional and mostly handmade food products. The previous edition counted 487 exhibitors on 4,438 m².
None of these pages mentions any change of dates. Opening hours and ticket prices have not been posted yet.
What the postponement means for suppliers
The furniture fair is usually one of the busiest autumn shows for interior decorators, stand builders and furniture rental firms, because exhibitors build large, finished room sets rather than simple shell stands. Firms that had confirmed builds or rentals for 12–16 November should contact their clients and the organiser now about deposits, materials already ordered and any held hall slots.
For suppliers who had blocked those days, the woodworking machinery fair in Hall 2B is the closest substitute. Its exhibitors are mainly machine and tool distributors, who tend to need heavy-duty floors, power connections and simpler stands. The two consumer fairs running alongside it, Ski Expo and the Ethno Food Fair, usually ask for smaller stands with fast turnaround.
