Not every trade fair is about consumers. Over the next five weeks, two specialist events bring together the companies that keep Serbian towns running: public utility firms, equipment makers and water technology suppliers. One is in Kragujevac, the other at the Belgrade Fair, and both are worth a look for exhibitors who sell to municipalities.
Komdel Expo 2026: municipal equipment in Kragujevac
The 21st International Municipal Equipment Fair, Komdel Expo, takes place from 18 to 20 November 2026 in Kragujevac. It is co-organised by KOMDEL, the business association of Serbia's municipal utility companies, and Šumadija sajam, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the city utility JKP Šumadija, under the patronage of the City of Kragujevac. A call for exhibitors has been published on the Šumadija sajam website.
The 2025 edition, which marked the fair's 20th year, gives a sense of scale. According to Kurir, it was held at the Šumadija sajam grounds in October and attracted more than 30 exhibitors, a record for the event, from Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Republika Srpska and North Macedonia, plus producers and distributors from other European countries. On show were construction machinery, smaller construction equipment and systems for storing and collecting municipal waste. Entry was free.
Komdel is a compact, specialised fair rather than a large consumer show. Its value lies in who attends: directors and technical staff of public utility companies from across Serbia, the buyers behind municipal procurement. The organisers have not yet published the 2026 programme or exhibitor list.
Water Fair/Forum 2026: water technology at the Belgrade Fair
Two weeks later, the 17th Water Fair/Forum (Sajam/Forum Voda) fills Hall 3 of the Belgrade Fair from 2 to 4 December 2026. The event, organised by BEL EXPO, combines an exhibition with an international scientific and professional conference on equipment and technology for water management. The Belgrade Fair describes it as a meeting point for companies and market leaders in water technology.
The forum programme and the 2026 exhibitor list have not been published yet; the organiser's site links to a 2026 brochure and to last year's exhibitor list. Group tickets are available for groups of at least eight people with a stamped list of names.
What exhibitors and stand builders should know
Both fairs suit companies selling to the public sector: pumps and pipes, waste containers, vehicles, metering, treatment equipment and software for utilities. Heavy and bulky exhibits are the norm, so logistics, floor loading and outdoor display space matter more here than at a typical consumer fair. Stand builders working the Belgrade Fair in early December should also note the busy schedule around it: the KGH HVAC congress follows from 9 December and the New Year's Fair from 11 December.
